Geocache Description:

Easy access by vehicle, atv, bicycle, hike. Located South of Calabogie on the K & P Trail (hardpacked gravel, former railway bed).

Orange marine canister.
Original contents: Log, pencil, sharpener, K & P history story, safety whistle, Tonka toy, small flashlight (no batteries), fishing jig

Travelling the K & P Trail south from Barryvale approx 5.4 km. will bring you to a public boat launch access onto Mile Lake. The launch will easily handle small boat trailer and there is limited vehicle/trailer parking alongside the K & P.
This particular section of the K & P is maintained by Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority.
It is an ideal trail for hiking, bicycling, ATV’ing and passable by most vehicles.
Snowmobilers enjoy it as a groomed trail in the winter months.
There is a beautiful spot overlooking the lake for a picnic lunch.
Anglers will fish this lake for pike, bass and pickerel.
