This is the second published cache in the "Earning Your Sripes"
series. The questions will get progressively more difficult as the
level increases from Junior High to Varsity. All rules questions
will refer the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) rulebook.
College and professional rules will often be different than high
school rules.
People attend sporting events and think that being a sports
official is easy, and are quick to get down on officials that they
feel are doing a sub-par job. There are a lot of rules one must
know in order to properly administrate a game, in addition to
having good judgment and being able to think and act quickly and
fairly in pressure packed situations. This series of caches is to
show you just a few of the things an official has to consider in a
split second while making a decision on the basketball court.
