Breaking ground in 1930, on the corner of 39th and North Charles Street, the Scottish Rite Masonic Center stands alone on the highest elevation in this section of the city. Its unique architecture makes the Scottish Rite Masonic Center one of the most beautiful monumental buildings in the nation. Architect Clyde N. Friz, 33° designed the building along with consulting efforts from architect John Russell Pope.
