Be sure to have your GPS powered up and ready before you attempt this one; the cache is in a semi-heavily forested area. Don't worry, it's a straight-forward shot if you follow the directions.
WARNING: Be careful during rainy days as area can become slick!
Enough was enough Geo-rge Cache said! He had it with his teachers, exhausting classes, and ridiculous tests! All he wanted to do on this beautiful day was geocache! Geo-rge decided he would take a well deserved skip-day from school, and venture off into the near-by forest. What he found was an amazing area, though small, that featured a creek nearby and exciting wildlife. Geo-rge knew this was a great place to plant a cache!
There are several ways you can get to the cache area, one spot you can use during the weekdays, the other the weekends. They can both be found below as waypoints. You will be traveling through a construction area also, but I've been told it's ok to venture through here.
You'll want to start by first looking for a sewer type system once you get within 500ft of the cache (It's the only man-made structure in the area, can't miss it). You will want to follow a man-made trail on the left side of the sewer system, which marks the beginning of the creek.
Follow this trail down, and take a gander at the canyon-like formations the creek has made over the years.
Once you are down the trail aways, the canyon ledges will subside, and you will get to a spot where you can easily reach the creekbed (If you're unsure, there will be spiral vines wrapping around branches on the ground).
Cross the creekbed to the other side, and straight ahead you will see a down tree (SEE NOTE BELOW!). Hop over the tree, and within 10ft of it will be the cache. Do a little searching and you will be able to find it.
Follow the above directions carefully and you should be OK! Your GPS will work most of the time so pay attention to that too!
Geocache is a small mason jar with logbook, pencil, and few odditys! First To Find gets a signed Martell Webster Trailblazers noise-maker!
Any questions let me know, and as always happy caching!
NOTE (7/12/09): A fellow cacher alerted me that the log you're supposed to hop over has broken down, but that a good reference is that there are two boulders sticking out of the ground. If there's any confusion, please let me know!
