Talk Like A Pirate Mystery Cache
xmts: Ahoy, Matey!
A longtime local would like to place a traditional cache within the 528 feet saturation limit of the final coordinates of this cache. Since this puzzle has had a good run, and since there are at least two other puzzles in the area which use a similar encoding style but do so in a much more elegant way than mine, I'm archiving this one. However I'll leave the physical cache in place for a while so that those who have solved but not found the cache can still find it and log it (I'm told it is far enough away from the new cache that one will not be mistaken for the other). I'll post a separate log when the physical cache has been removed.

September 19 is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. In honor of
International Talk Like A Pirate Day 2008 a booty has been hidden,
but not at the posted coordinates. Read the Pirate's challenge to
recover the loot! And when you log your find online, you are
requested to use some pirate lingo, otherwise your log may wind up
in Davy Jones' locker!
Arrr, matey! I hear you and your
scurvy dog compadres want to wrap your paws around me loot. Well
shiver me timbers, you scallywag! Me little booty is stashed away
so ye'll have to do a little searchin for it. I bet ye'd like a
little map with "X Marks The Spot" on it, now wouldn't ya? Sure you
would, but there ain't one, so the treasure can only be searched
for by figurin out where it is from what I'm tellin ya. Now you may
be a thievin scoundrel, but yer a smart little landlubber so I
figure you'll have no trouble figurin that little problem out. Am I
right? Then all ye gotta do is board yer vessel and set sail. You
do know which course to sail, don't ye? Of course, I hope you won't
be a scoundrel who doesn't care about park hours. If all is well
when ye arrive at the park, ye'll be searchin fer the plank that is
the restin spot of the magnetic treasure. Across the way ye'll go,
until ye reach the northeast corner of the plank. When the treasure
is found you can raise a cup of rum and shout a Hip Hurrah to yer
good fortune. But do be careful out there, me matey, for there be
others also looking to pilfer the loot!
