Cache dedicated to our family yellow Labrador Retriever, Carter who left us at the age of 15. This was his favourite place.
This is a camo’d plastic container with log book and pencils. Also contains a Sharpie, eraser, highlighter, magnetic fridge clip, play dough, a kinder surprise, plastic bug, 2-20 cent Euro coins from Ireland and a prize for the first to find.
The cache is hidden in the Calton Swamp Wildlife Management Area. Around the swamp are a series of six duck blinds for hunters in season. The cache is hidden in an area away from the blinds.
Ducks Unlimited Canada has dedicated the Calton Swamp in Elgin County, Ontario to its former president Dr Duncan Sinclair. Known as an advocate for conservation and stewardship at all levels of government. At the dedication ceremony, Dr Sinclair recalled that he hunted the swamp with his father over 60 years ago, and said he was proud to see it still associated with hunting and youth.
