Geocache Description:

This Cache is located on top of the Jolliffe Saddle amongst Hanmers exotic forest plantation.

To reach this cache you can walk from town, park at the end of Torquay Terrace S42 31.025 / E172 50.161, or drive upto the Dog Stream Waterfall carpark via Jollies Pass road, McIntyre and Mullans road.

If you walk from town you will be able to wander through the impressive Redwood forest on the Woodland walk, though walking from the Waterfall carpark is really nice as there is native forest on the other side of the hill instead of the exotic pine trees.

Plenty of options I will let you decide!!

DIRECTIONS IF YOU WALK FROM TORQUAY TERRACE
Head on down to the Woodland Walk and walk around the track until you come across a sign directing you towards the Jolliffe saddle Track, the sign will be on the other side of the forestry access road.

MAP OF THE AREA
(visit link)

This cache will be a very easy find and the location of the cache will be very obvious once you are within around 5 metres of the cache site, when at the cache site walk around behind and sneak the cache out, you wont have to remove much to get to the cache.

The most important thing though is to enjoy the view!!!!

This Cache is a 2 litre Sistema container which has been painted green and the original contents of the cache were: the usual logbook, stashnote, pencil, sharpener, a meal voucher, a film cannister, 2 rugby coins, a button, Hurunui Track brochures, 2 geocoin cases, 2 banking bags.
