Geocache Description:

Nice easy walk through this lovely Aberduna nature reserve, free leaflets are available (see Q to A below). Don't forget to pick up the coordinates for "Information puzzle cache" from this cache which are in the log book. Please keep to the designated footpaths.

Nature Conservation - Aberduna Nature Reserve

This reserve is to the West of the local working quarry and has been managed by the North Wales Wildlife Trust since 1992.
The reserve contains Limestone grassland, scrub and woodland habitats that support a rich fauna including 28 species of butterfly, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Whitethroat, Buzzard and the occasional Peregrine Falcon.
Flora on the site includes Cowslip, Common Rockrose, Lesser Celandine, Wood Anemone, Moonwort, various Orchids and the rare Upland Enchanters.
