An incredible view of a little-known feature in one of the prettiest areas in the Hudson Highlands
Perhaps because it's a little out of the way, and without the dramatic overlooks on top, few know of this gem of a multi-tiered waterfall.
You are looking for a large ammo can. The original contents were a log book, Things of Pooh, some hand-warmers, and other assorted swag.
In the summer it's fun to just lie in the water here, particularly if you'd done the long loop around all of the overlooks, and in the winter the different tiers freeze into a myriad of amazing crystal formations.
This cache is best enjoyed as part of a return journey to the main Beacon Parking area, perhaps after visiting Mount Beacon LPC and then Across The Pond.
Please make sure you bring a map and your sense of adventure! Oh and bring a camera too!
