Stayed here on our way on hols, met Ian and Kerrie the Publicans . Over a beer we talked about stuff and Geocaching came up, She Who must be Obeyed said 'set one up for them!'
They said great idea we can look after it!
Rankin Springs was settled by ,they think, an Afro American named Sims: he was caught cattle duffing ,the local historian , a lovely lady and her husband, stated it was a national pastime in the old days.
Sims Gap is now named after him
John Oxley was the first non Aboriginal to explore the area.
