Geocache Description:

One in a series of caches based on the heroes of the Justice League. He is Aquaman, aka "Arthur Curry", aka "Orin, King of Atlantis". "Sufferin' Swordfish!"

Aquaman was one of the original heroes of the Justice League. Over the years, his origin story has changed a lot, but at the core, he's always been “the amphibian hero-king from beneath the seas.”

Often, he's the butt of jokes (you kind of have to expect that when your costume is orange and green, scaled-skin, tights with fins), often portrayed as useless, and/or considered a “last minute add-on”. But Aquaman has proven himself time and time again, to be a great asset to the team.

But remember, he's the “King of Atlantis” and commands an entire civilization, army and all. He can telepathically speak with underwater animals, he can withstand heavy water pressure, he has great strength and speed, a healing factor, and in recent years... a mystic, solid water hand that he can change the shape of.

Welcome to Riverside Park ...or at least the northern end of it. Nearby you can see the Little Red Lighthouse. which sits under the George Washington Bridge.

Note: The interior of the lighthouse is occasionally open to the public. For tour dates, call (212) 304-2365.

This little "beach" is one of many nice little hidden gems in NYC. A great little out-of-the-way spot to sit and enjoy the day.

The cache is a bison tube.

PLEASE REPLACE AS YOU FOUND, IF NOT BETTER. MAKE SURE IT IS SEALED TIGHT.

CONGRATS to Aquacache on the FTF!
