This cache is the original container placed by Michigan_Chris back in June of 2005. (GCP6JE) The first 2 stages kept going missing so it was archived. After Recovering Newburgh Lake #2, Michigan_Chris gave me the coordinates to the final stage. Upon finding the final stage all the contents were nice and dry. We decided to return this cache to its hiding spot since it weathered almost 2 years without any problems. All of the contents, except the log book are what was found inside. We did also recover a TB and have sent it on its journey.
This cache is located on the perimeter of Newburgh Lake. There is ample parking at the trailhead at N42° 22.182 W83° 26.124. Other routes may be available as well.
The terrain may be extra challenging if wet or icy. You are looking for a medium sized round plastic container with camo tape.
