Geocache Description:

Salmon fishing opens October 16th for the Dungeness River, so finding a space to park may be difficult mornings & evenings. When the fish are on the run, this is a great place to watch the spawning ritual.

A short, easy walk and a popular dog exercise path for locals. Take some of the various trail spurs off to the right for river access. If you have time to explore further, the entire trail is only a little over a mile in length. Was that the roar of a lion?? Quick, run for your life! I hope you enjoy all the diverse views this trail has to offer.

P.S. The big grass grazers (Those big brown eyes are so adorable) belong to Olympic Creamery. If you like raw milk, they sell it. The Olympic Game farm is across the river.(hence the lion roars).
