Geocache Description:

A good walk along a beautiful coastal path, which can be easily made into a circular walk. The coast line itself is owned by the National Trust to help protect this beautiful coast.

Each time I have walked this path, I have seen a seal just off the coast (not to be confused with the fishermen bouys).

You could afterwards visit Oxwich Castle or spend the rest of the day on Oxwich beach or visit the famous Three Cliffs Bay.

There are three main ways to approach this cache, either from:

1) the path running south from Oxwich Green, the start of which can be muddy or

2) the path along the top past Oxwich Castle and the trig point or

3) from the beach at Oxwich along the coastal path round the point but this has some steep steps up and down.

Depending on your route, you are most likely to past some livestock, either the semi-wild ponies or cows & sheep.

Parking can be a problem but there is a car park at Oxwich beach but there is a max. charge of £4 (as of 2011) or there are a few points along the road up the steep hill to Oxwich Green or at Oxwich Green itself. DO NOT try and park at the Cafe, Hotel or Oxwich Castle as these are for customers ONLY.

For those who use the Oxwich Green route (there or back) I have waymarked the top and bottom points of a path that leads from cliff level to sea level as it's a reasonable slope and not that obvious from the top.

If you do do the Oxwich Green route, why not look for Gower Pyramid (GCHK18) as you will pass very close to it.

The walk is OK for geokids but with the cliffs they need to be kept an eye on.
