Chemung County's First Traffic Fatality! Cache located near a very Sacred place that few know about!!
On July 5, 1914 The late Dr and Mrs Sherman Voorhees and son were involved in one of Chemung County's 1st automoblie accident. Mrs Voorhees was instantly killed. A Cross was erected in her memory and bears the following inscription," This Spot is Sacred by the death of Mrs Sherman Voorhees by accident July 5, 1914"
