Käringsjön
Rogens naturreservat i Härjedalen är ett unikt lågfjällsområde. Naturen består av sjöar och moränryggar med en vidsträckt natur. Här finns t.ex. björn, järv, lo och landets enda myskoxstam.
Reservatet är fantastiskt för friluftsliv som fiske, vandring, paddling och fotomöjligheterna är stora.
Själva gården Käringsjön har anor från 1700-talet. Dagens ägarfamilj är bofasta på gården och släkten har ägt denna sedan 1800-talet. Hit kom elektriciteten först på 1990-talet. Gården har idag stugor och kanoter för uthyrning (bokas i förhand via kontakt med ägarna). Härifrån utgår fina vandrings- och kanotleder.
Cachen ligger på gården Käringsjön. Hit finns en privat grusväg som endast är öppen för turister sommartid. Kommer du med motorfordon är vägavgiften 40:- och parkeringsavgiften 15:- per dygn. Detta betalas i gårdens huvudbyggnad. Glöm inte att betala! Väljer du att i stället vandra hit är det 6,5 km från starten av den privata vägen (markerad med skyltar). Vintertid går det även att ta cachen men då är det skidor som gäller.
The nature reserve Rogen in Härjedalen is a unic area with lakes and hills. Here you can find beer, wolverine, lynx and Sweden´s only musk oxes. The reserve is ideal for fishing, hiking, canoeing and taking photos.
The homested Käringsjön derives from the 1800th century. The owner family live on the homestead. It´s been owned by the same family since the 1900th century. Electricity didn´t come here until 1990. Today you can rent a room and a canoe (you have to contact the owners in advance).
The cache is on the homestead Käringsjön. There is a privet road our here but it´s only open for tourists during the summer season. If you get here by motorvehicle there is a road fee of 40 Skr and a parking fee of 15 Skr per day. Don´t forget to pay in the main house! If you wish to walk here it´s 6,5 km from where the privet road starts (marked with signs). The cache can be taken even in the wintertime but then you have to use skies.
