A Quiet Stroll - New From
Old
Second
stop on a nice walk alongside the Deschutes River
This second cache in the series will take you on a stroll
alongside the Deschutes River. While we were checking for new
places for a cache in the area, Pengana spotted a secret trailhead.
We explored a short distance and enjoyed it so much that of course
we had to bring other cachers here as well.

The main trail meanders along side the Deschutes River with lots
of side trails to the river's edge. Some are well worth checking
out during your walk.
We finally reached a point that the trail begins to be overgrown
a bit, and the very large hornets nest directly next to the trail
was a sign it was time to stop and find a cache location. We
backtracked to this interesting location and called it good. If you
see a nest, you've gone too far and should retreat quickly!
Coords were difficult to get
here, but we took many readings so we feel they should be
good, but please be understanding if they are off a bit.
You'll see why when you find the cache.
Be sure to make note of the North coordinates for the final
cache in the series, A Quiet Stroll - Deschutes River

(You can retrieve the
West coordinates for the final cache
in this series from
A Quiet Stroll - Relics
GC1GH69 at the beginning of your walk.)
Enjoy!
