A nice little park and grab cache with just enough room for a log sheet and pencil. Yes, a park and grab, depending on your mode of transportation and the time of the year.
Mrs. c_dog and I often enjoy riding our tandem mountain bike on the gravel, sand, and dirt roads that border the Iowa River while on our way to the Amana Colonies and back. The cache is located within the right of way just off a B-level maintenance road that runs along the south side of the river. The cache is accessible year round. Just how you are able to access it may vary throughout the year. We had a nice leisurely bike ride on a smooth and dry road on the late summer day that we placed the cache, but your mileage may very. Be sure to hide the cache again properly for the benefit of the next finder. As always, have fun.
