Miners Tribute #4 - Kirkby Summit Traditional Cache
The Striders: Decided to archive this cache because there is always broken glass at the cache site from the 'louts' who sometimes sit on the bench!
We wouldn't like anyone to cut themselves or get hurt and there is no way to stop this from happening so archiving it is.

Pretty flat terrain but again this cache is in a very exposed area on what can be at certain times of a day an extremely busy road and so great stealth is required to retrieve & replace the cache unseen. Please bring your own pen or pencil.
The Miners Tribute Caches are a tribute to the Collieries, Mines or Pits of the local area. Most of the pits have now closed but where they once stood you can quite often see a monument to them due to the impact that they had on the local economy, bringing jobs and prosperity to the surrounding areas. We hope you enjoy this Tribute series.
