Geocache Description:

The above coordinate is not the final cache, please see below

Dear Cacher
You may or may not wish to undertake this series of caches for while they may bring you temporary and fleeting happiness they will inevitably remind you of the very woeful tales of the three Baudelaire children, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny in Lemony Snickets “A series of unfortunate events” (a family favourite of ours). There will be a cache linked to each of the 13 sorrowful tales, the final one being a mystery cache solved by gathering information from each of the previous. You will be forced to dwell on this sad history as each of the caches will also require research into their lives (by the books or internet) to complete the individual cache co-ordinates.

If you enjoy cache series with happy endings than you are better off finding some other cache series

The tenth of the series and events are moving rapidly (downhill) to their conclusion. In the Valley of Four Drafts, Sunny is alone with the villains on top of Mount Fraught, while Violet and Klaus are far below. Working their way back together whilst simultaneously working out secrets of secret organizations sees them encounter new enemies and allies, but all the ups and downs are fleeting…

Before I became occupied with uncomfortable casserole dishes, green cigarette smoke and the central theme of Leo Tolstoy’s “Anna Karenina”, I remembered a childhood trip to a slippery slope at this location. (visit link)
Sure enough, it’s still here and you’ll pass it as you rise into the Mortmain, sorry, Snowdonia Mountains for this cache. Parking may be difficult at busy periods but there are other options around, or back in the village itself if necessary. Take the public footpath at the right of the building as you face it (matching coordinate above), follow this stony track UP into the woods. If you cross the Stricken Stream you're going the right way

To complete a puzzle for the cache here how many accomplices does Olaf loose when they refuse to throw a baby off a mountain?

Answer = A
