Geocache Description:

**********CONGRATULATIONS TO devillo FOR FTF********** At the end of Coulter Street in Old Saybrook. Open dawn to dusk.

Welcome to Founders Memorial Park, formerly the Coulter Street Landfill. Old Saybrook’s newest park is built on top of the landfill and was formally dedicated on 9/22/08. The property was originally owned by the Clarke family and was deeded to the town for the purpose of the park. The Clarkes are members of the tenth generation of direct male descendants of John Clark, one of the original settlers of the Saybrook Colony. By the way, it is still used as a dump. Old Saybrook residents may bring their leaves here to be recycled into compost. You may have to use stealth to access the cache. Enjoy the view!
