Cache is a micro, containing only a log. Please bring a pen or pencil to sign the log. Wheelchair friendly.
A picnic area on the Lower Bann not far from Coleraine. It looks over the river downstream from the Cutts which is a passage cut in the river’s bedrock to by pass the rapids, making the river navigable for boats. The cutts in the rock also enabled the trapping of salmon. Look out (in season) for the salmon leaping upstream to spawn. This is also Access 13 on the Canoe Trail for the Lower Bann.
Loopers refers to the medieval fishermen who got the name because of their “looped” nets for catching salmon off the rocks
