Access 11 on the Lower Bann for the Canoe Trail.
On it’s 60km journey from Lough Neagh to the Atlantic Ocean, the Lower River Bann winds through this historic and partially wooded section just south of Coleraine.
A short piece of history - The Camus (cam uisce – crooked water) has played a significant part in the cultural development of the region owing much to a ford (natural crossing point in the river) just downstream near the canoe shaped Loughan Island.
A picnic area with good views up and down the river.
