This is a very easy walk up, bike up, stroller up cache. It is no longer wheelchair accessible. It is quite a distance from the nearest point where both access to the sidewalk and parking are available.
The cache is a SweeTarts pocket tin, with room for the log and pencil only, and of course an FTF certificate. Enjoy the walk along Sterling Lyon or venture into FortWhyte Alive. Sterling Lyon is officially a no stopping zone on both sides at this point, and the ditch is quite deep in front of the cache. The water was about six inches deep on the day I placed the cache.
As of Oct 31, 2008, the cache has been moved down the walk a bit because the City removed the park bench which had been the cache hiding spot, and because the bench is gone the name had to be changed from Rest For The Sole to No Rest For The Sole. The cache had to also lose its wheelchair friendly attribute. If the City returns the bench I will restore the original attributes of the cache. The cache is now quite out in the open, but not very noticeable unless you are looking for it.
