The cache is located in wooded picnic site on the Lancaster Canal. There are several footpaths leading to the cache, the easiest being from Rushley Drive.
A far more interesting walk, though still not very long is from the Hest Bank Hotel Walking down Mowbrick Lane onto a footpath onto Highfield Drive and Occupation Road (a footpath),which leads over the canal towards the cache site.
A return can be made along the canal towpath North towards Station Road and the hotel.
The Hotel or better known as the 'HBH' serves real ale and great food.
Early morning cachers may be lucky and see the kingfisher that patrols the canal near here.
