A quick find, a medium size medicine bottle located just off the bike path trail.
Betsie Valley Trail is 22 miles long, goes from Frankfort’s Lake Michigan Beach to Thompsonville, providing an excellent trail for bikers and walkers. This Trail was built on the tracks of the former Ann Arbor Railroad. From 1892 until 1982 freight cars were carried across Lake Michigan on car ferries owned by the Ann Arbor Railroad. In 1998 Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources bought the rail corridor to develop this Trail. If you bike this Trail, you will travel through Benzie County’s Railroad Point Natural Area with access to Crystal Lake, along the Betsie River, through the Pere Marquette State Forest, through wetlands and wildlife areas. There is a 3-mile long section of the trail that ends at Crystal Mountain. During the winter months the trail from Beulah to Thompsonville, is open to snowmobiles.
The Betsie Valley Trail is an excellent way to enjoy beautiful views, a healthy way to exercise and a truly enjoyable experience. Load up your bikes, find this cache and cycle off on this wonderful trail.
