Timbertop Reserve is a patch of natural bushland straddling
Blacktown Creek, North of the Great Western Highway. The birdsong
as I walked through the reserve looking for a hiding spot was many
and varied, a twitcher's paradise.
There is an excellent playground next to the recommended parking
spot, and the day I placed the cache there was Kite Flying in
progress.
There are easy tracks leading to the cache, and if not for the
slither-through gates this would be wheelchair accessable.
The cache is a 1 litre clear square cliplock container inside a
grey plastic bag. Initial contents are First and Second To Find
cards, finders cards, 5 ring key ring with blue LED light, folding
binoculars, bottle opener key ring, dinosaur, log book, pen,
pencils & sharpener.
When trading items please consider trading up or trading even
and leaving items that you would want to find, and please don't
take the pen, pencils or sharpener. If you can't trade up or trade
even I don't mind seeing TNLNSL in the log. Also please don't put
the pen or pencils in the log book bag, it tends to destroy the
watertight integrity.
Trackables (geocoins and travel bugs) are not tradeable items.
Please feel free to take them without making a trade, but please
leave a note in the logbook and your online log, and do log them
online.
