This area presents a wonderful example of a bottomland hardwood forest. There are many large trees typically found in this type of ecosystem - sycamore, red maple, box elder, tupelo, swamp chestnut oak, and the occasional cypress. Wildlife is abundant also which will be quite evident as you are walking along the gravel trail along the Wolf River.
Since some time and effort are required to walk the 5 mile trail from Collierville-Arlington Road to Bethany Road I thought it would be nice to have several caches along the way to make it all worthwhile. This will be the third to be placed along the trail with several more to come I hope.
