This cache will take you to the Adams Town Common. Here you can enjoy all four seasons of the year... and now you can do a little caching, too!

A wave of industrial expansion occurred in Adams after 1846, when the railroad was built between North Adams and Pittsfield connecting with the Boston-Albany line. Among the five new factories built in the town in a seven-year span, this cache sits on the site of the former L.L. Brown Paper Mill, the only paper mill in Adams at the time. Levi Lawrence Brown was also involved in building the Renfrew and Zylonite Mills, (See my other cache "Paper or Plastic?" GC169Q9). In 1973 the L.L. Brown mill ceased
