Geocache Description:

The cache is located in Kanaka Creek Riverfront Trail Park. There are a couple of other nice caches in the park so it makes a nice loop walk.

Parking is at N49 12.008
W122 34.783

An easygoing walk on foot leads out to Kanaka's confluence with the Fraser from the HWY 7 trailhead. Along the way, climb the three story observation tower beside the creek, which provides an overview of the landscape here. Bring your binoculars, as this quiet refuge sustains a host of fascinating birds, animals and fish. . The creek and river close in on both sides of the nose of land as you follow the trail west. From an observation deck that overhangs the riverbank, you get broad views of the Fraser. The wooden structures are remnants of the Abernethy/Lougheed Company log dump.

The cache is a medium sized bison tube with a bit of camo. You should not have to step off the path to reach it. You will need to bring your own pen or pencil. This may be a bit difficult for rookies but I expect that the experienced cacher shouldn't have any trouble. Please be careful and remove the whole cache or just take the bottom off to sign the log and replace it the same way you found it.
