Geocache Description:

Nessled amongst the Mayacma Fault line on Lake Mendocino Drive, there is a small place to pull off or you can park on the immediate road to the East and walk a short distance...You'll haveto use just a smidge of stealth on this one...Enjoy! Ao???

Of all the fault line caches in this area, your best chances of standing directly on the fault would be here...The most defined section of the Mayacma Faultline boundaries, with the location on East side road inbetween Mill Creek and Tindell Ranch being another direct hit, but ya cant really get out and find a cache right there now can ya? Believe it or not this location is moving beneath your feet! Only its called Tectonic Movement and occurs as “fault creep,” relatively slow movement along the fault without the occurrence of earthquakes. Measurement of earth movements along the Mayacma Fault Zone indicate that the fault is creeping at a rate of approximately 6.6 millimeters per year, which aint much and couldnt really create much damage, so were safe from that million gallon holding cell called the Coyote Dam just in front of us right??? ...Well, thats another cache! :) Have Fun get educated and as always~ CACHE HARD and CACHE ON!
