The coords listed are parking coords. You will see the cemetery ahead. As long as you stay to the left while walking in, you are on town property, although the neighbors do mow and help maintain the area. Please no night caching so as not to startle them.
This very old cemetery is maintained by the Town of Leicester. To find the cache, you will need to obtain the following information.
N-42 48.ABC
W-0F 54.7ED
First, you must look for the tall monument marking the burial site of the Cooley's
A=The last number in the year of Noah's death(Big Noah)
B=The third number in the year of David's death
C=The month Caroline died
D=The last number in the year of Sabra's death
Next, Towards the end of the row in front of the Cooley's-find the gravestones of Calvin Crossett and his wife Laura
E=The third number in the year Laura died
F=How old Calvin was when he died (two numbers)
OK, you really didn't need F to find the cache, but these stones fascinated us. It appears that Calvin really loved his wife, given her large and elaborate stone, but when Calvin died almost 30 years later, there was either no one or no money to give him more than the smallest basic marker.
There is a gold coin for both the first and second to find. We did both, having a special place in our hearts for the STF-it is usually us!
