An easy and quick cache in Glimmerglass State Park.
The idea of this cache is to get people to check out the historic Hyde Hall Covered Bridge, which is the oldest standing covered bridge in the USA.
This is an easy two-part puzzle cache where you'll get the coordinates to the second (and final) cache from a nearby sign. From the first part, you'll have to walk across the bridge to get to the second part.
At the first coordinates, this is what you'll have to do to get the second set of coordinates:
N 42° AA.BBC
A - Take the year (last two digits) the bridge was restored and subtract 20.
B - Count the total number of letters in the names of the builders, then subtract 2.
C - Last number in the year that the sign was done by the New York State Covered Bridge Society, then subtract 5.
W 074° DD.EEE
D - Add 26 to the final two digits of the year the bridge was originally built.
E - Subtract 1205 from the year the bridge was added to the National Registers of Historic Places.
The final part is an ammo box with a log book and some other trinkets and such.
For the first to find, I've left a FTF pin, which is in with the logbook.
Original contents of the cache include: a wood kazoo, a wood top, some NYfalls.com magnets and postcards, some square puzzles, and other small swag.

Note: Glimmerglass charges to enter the park during some parts of the year, but not all. Check ahead to see if you'll need to pay. When you are finished, take some time in the park. It's a beautiful place.
