Located at the St. Wencelaus Cemetery between Shawano and Lunds. There are many rural cemeteries in Wisconsin. Geocaching is a great way to get out and see some of these remote places, discover some interesting and unique markers, and to help ensure that those that have gone before us are not forgotten. With cemetery caches, the cache container is not hidden on or connected in any way to any grave site or marker. Occasionally, some information from a marker may be used to obtain final cache coordinates. Please be respectful of the cemetery and anyone visiting it.
About the WSQ-SCC Series WSQ stands for "Wisconsin Spirit Quest, which is used by many Wisconsin cemetery cache owners. SCC stands for Shawano County Cemeteries.
There are at least 115 cemeteries in Shawano County, and 99 of them are publicly accessible and/or publicly owned. It is our intention to bring new visitors to as many of these places as possible and remember those who have gone before us. You just might find a long-lost relative or two.
We have adopted gotta run's mission to get all of the Shawano County caches listed, we will also get some of the in town cemeteries, and some along the borders of the county.
WP1 is a nano, and the final is a camo-taped 8 oz. plastic jar with log book, a pencil, and maybe some trading items.
