Like the rest of my urban caches, this one is pretty straight
forward. And if for some reason, you didn't know this venue was
here, now you do. The container is typical for the series. Bring
your own scribbler. Please list any concerts or events you have
seen at this venue with your log. Personally, I have seen Nine Inch
Nails twice here, one of which was my first concert ever. I have
also seen Aerosmith. Happy caching!!
Originally named the Rosemont Horizon, Allstate Arena was first
intended to be the home of the World Hockey Team, the Chicago
Cougars. However, the franchise folded and the project was
completed using funding from other contracts including the Ringling
Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. In 1999, Allstate Insurance
provided $20 million in funds to renovate the building and also
gained the naming rights. In addition to numerous concert events,
the Allstate Arena hosts a variety of sporting events including WWE
wrestling and Ultimate Fighting Champioships.
