This is a multi-cache that will take you through a part of the Deschutes National Forest east of Wickiup and Crane Prairie Reservoirs. Depending on which roads you choose, you will see some interesting features and picturesque views. At the coords there are several signs with maps of the area. On one of the maps is the word "Tethrow". Under that word is a 7-digit number. Add those digits together. That sum is "A". On the same map, under the word "Falls" is a number whose digits add to 10. Remove the first and last digit from that number. The result is "B". The coords for the next leg are: N43°- 41.xxx' where xxx = (A*50)-10 W121°- 39.yyy' where yyy = 667-(B*20) Here you will find a man made object that is partially buried. On this object are two numbers, one above the other. Add all the digits of both numbers together. The sum is "C". The total number of digits present in both numbers is "D". The next leg is at: N43°- 40.xxx where xxx = (C*30)+113 W121°- 41.yyy where yyy = (D*30)-66 Here there are several informational signs. The number of informational signs = “E” and the number of miles water flowed to Madras = “F”. The next leg is at: N43° - 46.xxx where xxx = (E*6)+F W121° - 37.yyy where yyy = (F*10)+F+(E*3) Here you will calculate the coords of the cache. There is a signboard with some information on it. Behind the signboard is a man-made object. Pick “G” based on what that object is. A road, G = .913 A stone monument, G = .095 A fire pit, G = .810 A cabin, G = .508 An outhouse, G = .264 A bridge, G = .383 About 200 feet due south of the signboard is something made by Mother Nature. Pick “H” based on what that something is. A really huge Ponderosa pine tree, H = .009 An unusual rock outcrop, H = .807 A river, H = .610 A cave, H = .255 A small pond, H = .909 A large stump with a small tree growing out of it, H = .442 The cache is located at: N43° - 46.G W121° - 41.H It would be good to have a map of the area if you aren’t familiar with the roads and be reminded that some of these roads are gravel.
If you find it, take time to say something descriptive. Simple one word logs will be deleted.
