This cache is near the village of Compton Dundon. Looking at the meanings behind place names, this seems to be Comp (?) village hill hill. Lollover hill is the lesser of the two hills, but I think with the better views. It is claimed that the name 'Lollover' comes from 'Look Over', referring to the fact that locals came up here to watch the Battle of Sedgemoor in 1685(?). Even to this day weapons are still occasionally found buried on the moors hereabouts. Others claim the name can be interpreted as 'Lol Lover' – the reclining lover (due to the shape of the hill ?). Lollover is just behind the EarthSpirit Centre(!)
Parking in the village is limited, if you park on the road please don't obstruct driveways, gates, bridleways etc. There is a pub where the landlord would let you park (with views to serving refreshments after your walk). The nearest road is at N51 05.282 W002 44.648.
The way to the cache is usually very muddy and steep in places - boots are highly recomended. Depending on where you park, you can expect to walk about 2 miles - but it's worth it! If you need waypoints on the way, head firstly to N51 05.362 W2 44.762, then uphill to N51 05.416 W2 45.034. Then off to the cache. The cache is a 1.7 ltr lock-lock box with room for TB's swaps etc. Please remember to trade value for value (or better), with, of course a bonus for FTF. Good luck.
