Geocache Description:

Strangely Curious Walk in the Park - Part 1

You shouldn’t get too frustrated by this one if you take your cap off!!

Traditional cache co-ordinates given above.

The Series
Walk in the Woods, Part 1 This is the first in a series of caches around the perimeter of Hillsborough Forest Park. As the name of the series suggests the caches are intended to test your GPS handling skills and opening your mind to the art of camouflage. There are five caches in the series, all with different challenges both in the way you get to ground zero and the type of containers they are hidden in. The caches are all on a 4 – 5Km circular walk, some of which are on soft tracks made by animals and dog walkers, so make sure you wear good footwear. Allow yourself about 2 hours of good light to complete all five caches; you’ll need it to find some of the caches.

Part 1.

This is a straight forward cache to get you started; it’s adjacent to the main car parks, so depending on the time of the day you may have to contend with lots of muggles. Although the route to the cache is excellent, the cache itself is hiden such that the terrain warrants a 1.5, as it may not be sutable for wheelchair users. The cache is a small micro, similar in size to a 35mm film canister and it only contains a log and pencil, but bring your own pen to be sure. When you find the cache sign the log and record the figures found on the back of the log, you’ll need them for Part 5.
