Geocache Description:

A tough challenge in the Finch Sheppard area of the Don Valley

This is a five stage multi with terrain as challenging as possible in this area.
It was designed for experienced adults in good physical condition who are not easily discouraged.
Care must be taken to avoid unstable soil conditions on slopes. Some of the bogs are capable of filling a knee high boot if the wrong step is taken.
This land was used for farming before being converted to a flood contol area. You may encounter fallen fences which used barbed wire.

All of the caches but one, involve bushwhacking or the use of animal trails. It would be wise to establish waypoints on the inbound trails to aid in return.

It is not wise to attempt "point to point" searches as streams, bogs, and ravine banks may intervene. Back tracking to a known trail or street will save time and energy.

Most of the caches are of the "nano" type; smaller than a film canister. The print is small and it may be necessary to use tweezers to extract the coord information.Other tools such as a magnetic pickup tool or a hooked rod might be useful.
Some of the hides will have decoy caches which may contain helpful information. They will,at minimum, indicate that the area is the correct one.
CAUTION for STAGE 3.
If you are traveling by car the best parking is on Alamosa.
43 46 945 79 22 189. DO NOT approach from the East as this will require trespass on RR property.

The coords for the Final require gathering information from three caches at the S4 location.

All caches are above ground level and should be accessible in
wintertime.
