A very pleasant spot by the ‘South Esk River’ that attracts all sorts of people. Fishermen, joggers, dog walkers and the local kids. They can all find their way here very easily from a number of different directions, all of which have formed walking tracks.
Now what will I call this cache????
As I sat on the grassy bank (trying to think of a cache name) watching the sun reflect off the river that was flowing down below me, my mind started to wander and I then started thinking of those lucky people living just over the fence, not far from where I sat. What a beautiful, quiet, PEACEFUL place to LIVE I thought……I’ve got it!!!!!!! And now you have too.
As I have previously stated, this cache can be accessed from a few different directions. If you just want to ‘get in and get out’ you can drive to within app. 200mts of the cache by turning into ‘Roebourne Ave’ and making your way to
S 41*30.123 E 147*03.919.
Alternatively you can park near the Recreation Ground S 41*30.310 E 147*03.731 and then take the path down to the rivers edge before making you way along the river bank to the cache, this walk is around 600mts each way.
OR you can park at S 41*30.212 E 147*04.114 and just head straight towards the cache from here along a walking track that will take you directly to it. This track is about 500mts each way but a very easy walk.
There are most likely other ways of getting there but anyone of these three would be a good choice as they're all very enjoyable walks.
Cache is a 200ml sistema container with log book, pen and a few small swaps.
