For Britt & Noah Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

AussiePuschaks: Unfortunately the area is currently being used in a way that doesn't support caches remaining in place. I have archived this one, and will have to find a new location one day.

Geocache Description:

This cache has been named in honour of our Sister and Nephew whom we stayed with in Alice Springs for a recent holiday. They joined us on a number of caches, including Pound Lookout (several km walk) and got a taste for caching, albeit they haven't purchased their first GPS yet.

The cache is located near their house, and they plan to maintain it as their contribution to the great geocaching activities that we all know and love. We placed this here as there are only a handful of caches for the visiting geocacher when they journey to Alice Springs, so we thought we would add another one (we come from the ACT where cache saturation is one every 400 metres or so!!).

You can walk along a path until adjacent to the cache, or walk direct over a few hillocks until you reach the cache. It is located in a Sistema container under the rocky surface. From this location you can see Mt Gillen, Anzac Hill, Heavitree Gap and the East and West Macdonell Ranges. You can also see the green belt that is Alice Springs amongst the desert - a truly fantastic site.

In the cache at the time of launch were some Northern Territory memorabilia including key rings, stickers, patches, some card games for the backpacker / camper travellers and a host of Aussie flags. We have also launched our latest Geocoin "Can you see me" in this cache.

Finally, the first to find will note that UnicornNikita has claimed a first to find - please disregard this. UnicornNikita is our 10 year old daughter, whom I sent up the hill to check on the location. She found and logged the find, but I've disallowed it on the basis that it wasn't a fair race!!

Happy caching and good travels to all who visit this location.
