Geocache Description:

Medium sized peanut butter jar covered in camo tape.

As a long time resident of Nederland, we decided to pay tribute to one of our constant winter companions, the Wind.

This windy rocky top location has some great views toward Eldora, and the "S" curve on the way out of town. This cache was placed for the release of the four winds travel bugs. Each bug wants to travel in its cardinal direction, without flying.

The best place to park for the four winds cache is at the end of Peakview, be sure not to block the driveway that starts there. The cache is on the south side of peak view up near the summit, enter the forest by the 15 mph sign, and follow your GPS. Sometimes in the summer some hardy souls camp up there, as you can see from some old camps.

This is the secondary choice for this placement as the first was a bit to close to another cache. For those that are interested, those coordinates were N 39.55.983
W 105.30.019 if you have time check out the other site, as it has great views of a lake which has nesting Herons and osprey in the early summer.
