Geocache Description:

A pint sized container about 2 steps off the Highline Trail near the Pine Trailhead south of Pine, AZ.

There are several geocaches accessible from the Pine Trailhead. The trail starts from the southwest side of the parking area near signs that describe the Highline Trail and the Arizona Trail. It is possible to hike a loop taking the Highline Trail until it meets the Pine View Trail and going down that until it meets the Pine Canyon Trail which will return you to the parking area. You did mark the parking lot waypoint, didn't you? This path will give you access to other geocaches along the way.

There are no plastic containers engineered to withstand the stress of the crushing weight of rocks. That is why almost every such container hidden with rocks on top is cracked and often wet inside. So please, please don't pile rocks on top of this cache when replacing it in its hidey hole. The light piece of wood I have used is sufficient to protect and conceal the round plastic container. It is just off the trail so it will be easy to practice "leave no trace".
