Geocache Description:

Located along the trail up to Snowy Mountain Fire Tower Trail. There are red trail markers along the trail.

This cache was placed here because it was a good place to stop for a rest stop while hiking up this mountain and going back down the mountain, thus the name....rest stop. While at the cache site beware of other hikers on the nearby trail. Container is about three inches long.Hope you enjoy the cache here.Good luck.

Trailhead: Access to the trailhead is off the west side of NY 30,7.3 miles south of Indian Lake village and 17.4 miles north of Speculator.

A well-marked parking area is located on the east side of the road with parking for some dozen cars.The parking area is just opposite the trailhead.
