You can park at the rest area and then it is just a short 75 metre stroll and clamber to claim the cache. It is not hidden in the boulders, nor is it close to the water.
This cache is placed close to the site of the first cache we ever found. On that first trip we were working off the print-outs only - we had no map, no compass and didn't even know what a GPS looked like! All our finds on this trip had been put out by Donovan so we were brought up on large, well prepared and stocked caches. You can see the now archived cache at:

It is now six years since we began geocaching and we still enjoy every cache hunt. We have just completed the same journey that started us on this hobby and so have placed the cache as we returned home - 6 years later.
This container is not as large as Donovan's original one - sorry about that. It is a 400ml snaplock container and contains the necessary log book, pencil and trinkets.
There are also 3 Sallies 'Big Bean' geocoins (unactivated) in the cache. These are gifts for the first 3 finders. Please let us know if you decide to activate your coin but it is yours to keep if you would like it.
