Geocache Description:

Road side rest area along Yellowhead Highway South

The cache is locted in a rest area along the Yellowhead Highway north of McLure, BC. McLure was where the British Columbia Fire Storm of 2003 began. The fire jumped the river at this location and burned a massive wilderness areaon the west side of the riever. 85 homes were destroyed on the east side as the fires burned through Louis Creek and Exlue. This area has also been ravaged by the pine beetle infestation. Check out the information boards posted in the rest area.
The cache is a metal canister too small for a pencil
