Geocache Description:

The is right at one of the entrances to the Otematata village and is a small make up container.

The cache is opposite to the Otematata shop (hence the name)and is a nice 'n' easy cache to garb at any shop pitstop. The newly erected shop is now in the in the old NZED building which as well as hosting the shop is being converted into the Lakes Community Centre. The township of Otematata had a massive 4800 residents at its busiest time. It is at the entrance to Rata Drive which is where a number of permanant residents live. Stealth is required especially in the summer months as there are many on watching houses and muggles about. The cache contains the usual log book and pencil. For more history on Otematata cheek out Otematata's King Kong, which is within meters of this cache. Have Fun!
