HT#09-Samhain (Halloween) Tree (remake) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hobbit Taz: Sorry, I meant to do this awhile back. Since the tree that this was meant to bring people out to see has been removed, The area is in much need of a CITO, and the container is allowing moisture to saturate the logbook; It is now time for this one to be Archived and open the area (including the nearby Trail) room for a new cache if someone wishes to place one there.

I hope all who came before the tree was removed enjoyed the spooky view it could be.

Geocache Description:

Since cache GC172NE HT#05-Samhain (Halloween) Tree just didnt want to hold up to weather extremes, I decided to archived it. This is a replacement of the cache. The only thing it has in common with the old one is the view of the tree. new hide location, new type container and different camo.

Samhain/Halloween Tree!

This poor Samhain (or should I say Halloween) tree seems so lonely, I had to bring it company.  It is too bad that there isn’t a old scary haunted house next to it. I found the tree was particularly impresive looking after dark with a large moon high in the sky behind it.

The tree stands in the center of a small grass island created by the road encircling it; creating a turn-around at the dead-end

C ache is nearby; Should be within 50 feet or so from this great old tree. Terrain is not wheelchair accessable, but cache should be reachable without much of a bushwack if any. It is located within a step or two of the open grass. (thick growth can cause accuracy of GPS to be bouncy so at times may be a bit off)

It is within visible distance of the St. Louis County Ted Jones multi-use trail.  If you do not want to travel down the trail to this cache; you can instead drive right to it if you come from the east/southeast direction.
