Geocache Description:

Christmas cookie tin with log and pencil. Access to the old TouVelle Road requires a parking permit or a current hunting license.

This cache is on a trail opened up in the spring of 2008 on top of a ridge in the Denman Wildlife Area. The new section accesses from the Bunker Loop road on the east or the old Tou Velle Road (now gated) from the west. From the cache you can see the horizon in every direction. Good views along the trail of the Rogue River and the flats east of Tou Velle State Park. If you park at the trail for BUNKER ROW you can access a number of caches before you’re deep enough in to find BIG SKY. Allow about one hour if you’re after just this one. Most all the walking is on open road or obvious trail, with short hill climbs. You can bust brush for this one or stay on the trails to within 15 feet. Elevation: about 1260 feet
