V
techto místech zvaných "V Cípu" - na
soutoku rek Radbuzy a Mže - býval
vídán "Ohnivý muž".
Zjevoval se o pulnoci poslední
den v roce a létal tam asi hodinu.
Casto ho vídali vojáci držící vartu u zdejší prachárny. Starí
Plzenané si to vysvetlovali tak, že zjevení létá v místech
tehdejších vojenských poprav. Prý zde popravili také vojáka, který
ze msty založil ohen v dome, kde byl na bytu. Tenkrát lehla popelem
celá ctvrt. V opilosti se však žhár
prozradil a byl za svuj cin prachem a
olovem popraven - kde jinde, než " V
Cípu".
Od
té doby nechteli vojáci na
Silvestra sloužit u prachárny, nebot
se ohnivce bály. Pomohl jim i jemu až
jeden knez, který se nebál a pokropil
Ohniváka svecenou vodou. Od
té doby byl "V Cípu"
klid.
Pokud zaparkujete na
doporuceném míste a ke kši pujdete procházkou,
cestou tam Vás poteší pohled na krásnou Vodárenskou
vež, cestou zpet k geovozidlu zase pohled na vež
kostela.

called "In the corner" - at the confluence of the rivers Radbuza
and Mže - used to be seen "The Fire
man".
He appeared at the

because he tried to revenge. The whole town district burnt. The
firebug reveil himself when he was drunk and then he was executed
"In the corner". Since then soldiers didnt want to serve there at
the New Year´s Eve because they had been afraid of the Fire man.
One priest who sprinkled the Fire man with the holy water helped
him and the soldiers. Since then there was paece "In the
corner".
